Neoenergia reached the 2nd position, being the first in the electricity sector, in the general ranking of the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3) 2024/2025. The company rose eleven positions compared to the previous year. ISE brings together companies that have the best sustainability practices in environmental, social responsibility, economic-financial and corporate governance aspects.
Neoenergia remained in the 2nd portfolio of the B3 diversity index, IDiversa, in 2024, which aims to make diversity indicators visible and tangible to the market and provide comparability in the performance of companies classified in the index.
We are part of B3‘s Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2) portfolio, which brings together shares of 64 companies that have lower coefficients of greenhouse gas emissions, adopt management practices and publish an emissions inventory.
Neoenergia is the winner of the 2024 Energy Leaders Award, in the Energy Efficiency category. The award recognizes and honors companies and institutions that stand out throughout the year for their performance, investments and work carried out in favor of the country‘s energy matrix.
Neoenergia won the Golden Tombstone 2024 Award. The company is the first to be recognized for two operations in the same category by the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives–SP. The highlight was the exchange of assets with Eletrobras and the transaction with GIC.
Neoenergia won the top highlight in the The Electric Sector award with the Green Trail, an initiative that will expand electric mobility in Fernando de Noronha. The project also won in the “Renewable Energy“ category. The company was also recognized in the “Research and Development“ category with the Electrician‘s Safety System project.
For the second consecutive time, Neoenergia Cosern won the title of best distributor in the Northeast region at the Abradee Award. The concessionaire also received an honorable mention in Health and Safety. Neoenergia Elektro won first place in the Management Quality category and was third in Management and Innovation.
The company was internationally recognized for the excellence of its people management practices and for its contribution to the personal and professional development of its employees. This is one of the most recognized certifications in the world.
Traditional economics and business award in Brazil, granted Neoenergia the title of largest company in the electricity sector and the 33rd among all companies evaluated. Held since 1974, the initiative analyzes and recognizes publicly traded companies or companies with public data.

Neoenergia became part of the IDIVERSA B3 index, the first diversity index in Latin America based on two pillars: gender and race/color. The portfolio, launched in August/23, consists of 79 stocks.
For the 3rd consecutive year Neoenergia remains in the portfolio of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) B3 – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão. The 18th portfolio of the ISE B3 will be effective as of January 2023, gathering 70 stocks.
Neoenergia was recognized with the Pró-Ética Seal 2022/2023 edition for its commitment to integrity measures to prevent and combat fraud and corruption practices. This is the fifth consecutive time that the company has been awarded.
For the third consecutive year, Neoenergia won the 2023 Transparency Trophy, awarded by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (Anefac). The recognition places Neoenergia among the ten companies with net revenue above R$20 billion that present high quality and transparency in the financial information provided to the market.
The country’s main innovation ranking, the Valor Inovação 2023 Award, prepared by the Valor Econômico newspaper, classified Neoenergia among the 5 most innovative companies in the electricity sector, securing 4th place. In the general ranking, it ranked 61st, improving last year’s result (137th place).
Two Neoenergia distributors stood out at the 25th edition of the Brazilian Association of Electric Energy Distributors (Abradee) Award. Neoenergia Cosern won the title of best distributor in Brazil, in the Northeast region and in Operational Management. Neoenergia Elektro won as the best concessionaire in the Southeast and in the Management Quality and Performance Evolution categories.

Neoenergia achieved an A- score in the CDP Climate 2022 (index used to evaluate the performance of the companies participating in the selection process for the B3 ISE portfolio in the Climate Change dimension), remaining on the A list, and a B score in the water security section, reinforcing its leading role in the environmental agenda.
For the second year running, Neoenergia won the Transparency Trophy, awarded by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (ANEFAC). This recognition places Neoenergia among the ten companies with net revenue above R$ 20 billion that present high quality and transparency of the financial information provided to the market, as well as consistency of the management report and adherence to accounting principles.
Neoenergia was a positive highlight among electric energy companies in the Institutional Investor’s 2022 award, promoted by the Institutional Investor magazine, specialized in the financial market. The company, in the view of sell side analysts, was among the first placed in the rankings referring to the best CFO and best investor relations professional, in addition to winning recognition in the categories of ESG practices and “Best Analyst Day”.
The Institutional Investor’s 2022 awards surveyed 911 professionals from 434 financial services institutions. Neoenergia competed in the Latin America Executive Team Ranking area, in the Electric & Other Utilities sector and in the Midcap companies category, which have a market capitalization between US$ 2 billion and US$ 10 billion.
Neoenergia and six of its businesses were classified in the special edition of Exame magazine “Best and Biggest 2022”. In the energy sector, Neoenergia Brasília, incorporated in March 2021, made its debut. The ranking also includes: the holding company; two transmission companies (Neoenergia Guanabara and Neoenergia Dourados) and three distributors – Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE) and Neoenergia Elektro (SP and MS).
In all, 87 companies in the sector were listed in 2022. The yearbook evaluated publicly traded companies or companies with public data, considering accounting-financial results criteria, revenue growth between 2020 and 2021. The verification also considered aspects related to ESG shares. In all, a thousand companies were considered. The methodology and evaluation were carried out by Ibmec, with the participation of an executive committee from Exame.
Neoenergia won the 2022 CONAREC Award, aimed at companies, suppliers and service providers that stand out in the customer service and relationship segment. The recognition is the result of the company’s constant investments in digitizing processes and improving the experience of the company’s consumers, winner in the Energy and Utilities category.
The award, organized by the National Congress of Company-Customer Relations (CONAREC), assesses significant changes in the way in which the relationship between company and customer takes place. In this edition, the highlight was relational intelligence, especially in digital service channels, measuring quality, resolution and consumer journey.
Neoenergia received the gold award with the “Technology and Customer” case and bronze with the “End to End Management” case. The SMART CUSTOMER Award is a recognition of the business practices that offer the best experience to clients and collaborators.
In the fourth year of the “OSE Award”, Neoenergia was recognized with three first-place trophies among 6 possible categories. The O Setor Elétrico Award for Quality in Electrical Installations is an initiative of the magazine O Setor Elétrico in partnership with the National Circuit of the Electric Sector (CINASE) created to recognize successful efforts in the preparation, specification, and installation of electrical engineering projects in the country.
Neoenergia Cosern was recognized as the distributor with the best operational management in Brazil among companies with more than 500 thousand consumers by the Brazilian Association of Electric Energy Distributors (Abradee). The concessionaire in Rio Grande do Norte also won second place among the best-placed distributors in the country and in the Northeast region, as well as in the economic-financial management category. In terms of customer evaluation, the company ranked third.
Neoenergia won the Gold Award with the End to End Management Case. The initiative is the main recognition in the area of customer management and customer experience, highlighting the best practices in the Brazilian market with gold, silver and bronze trophies. In addition, the big winner in each category qualifies to participate in the Latam 2023 Award, competing with companies from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Paraguay, countries that are part of Aloic – Alianza Latino Americana de Organizaciones para la Interacción con Clientes.
Rating that measures the performance of companies that demonstrate solid environmental, social and governance practices. Neoenergia has improved over 2020, with an increase of seven positions in the index’s overall score. In addition, its environmental, social, and governance practices showed averages that outperformed those of the electric power sector.
Neoenergia Cosern was recognized by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) as the distributor with the best supply performance in relation to all other large companies, that is, with more than 400 thousand customers in Brazil.
The classification was based on the Global Continuity Performance (DGC), an index that measures the performance of distributors in relation to the limits defined by ANEEL itself.
The potiguar company was evaluated and compared with the others in the calculation from January to December 2021 in the indicators that measure the duration (DEC) and the frequency (FEC) with which consumers had their supply interrupted – having presented the best overall performance among the large companies.
Neoenergia remains in S& P Global’s The Sustainability Yearbook 2022 for the second year in a row. The recognition secured the score among the 15% of the companies rated with the best performance in the electricity sector and only 30% below the industry leader in the S&P Global ESG. Launched in 1999 and indexed to the New York Stock Exchange, the index is considered the largest reference of integration of sustainability to business strategy and an important driver for a number of institutional investors, social and corporate governance.
